The reservoir is full for the first time in 4 years

Last night, we attended an open house at a condo bought by one of our clients and renovated. Nice SnowHome. And one of the best reasons for its niceness is that it is on the Lake. Just a few steps from her door is Lake Dillon. And she has tremendous views of the Ten Mile Range. But, the view is enhanced by a full Lake Dillon. Last night, the water was glassy and reflective. You almost felt like you could step from her door right to the water.

It's almost gotten to the point where lots of people were complaining about the weather. Heck, we had snow just about a week ago. But, most of us were restraining ourselves, so much were we aware of the need for even more precipitation. Well, nature finally gave it to us in spades. The Lake is full. The rivers are full. And believe it or not, Denver is conserving more water than normal.

One year doesn't eliminate a drought. But, lots of us are happy, and praying for more of the same next year. It's a great year to visit. It's a great year to sit on the deck of your SnowHome and watch the sailboats on the Lake - or to board one and navigate yourself across that lovely body of water.
