An accident occurs in construction of the Skyway Skiway

Yep, we've talked about this before. But, now it's becoming a reality. This is evidenced by the MAJOR catastrophe that happened Friday in Breckridge. Well, perhaps not MAJOR, just major. But it was fun reading about it.

You see, construction has begun on the new Skyway Skiway project. You know, it's the one that will take skiers down the 4 O'clock Run into the town parking lot where the new gondola will terminate. No more of this bussing around to the slopes. Just park your car, hop on the gondola, and in minutes you're skiing. And when you are done for the day, ski back to your car. What could be simpler.

And the catastrophe? Well, that happened while they were digging to put a tunnel under Park Avenue for pedestrians. Hit a pipe. Caused lots of commotion. Lord, lots of people were without water for two hours.

Oh, well, small price to pay in the overall scheme of things, don't you think?
