        <Description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;img alt="Sliverthorne CO, near breckenridge, Peak one" hspace="0" src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/178/408834535_b5d05abf25.jpg?v=0" align="baseline" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p /&gt;&lt;p&gt;The snow is leaving the High Country and although you can still ski Arapahoe Basin, the rest of the county has closed shop and gone on vacation.&amp;nbsp; Our favorite restaurants close for repairs, half our residents are tanned from a jaunt in some exotic local, the trash that's been hidden by snow for the last 8 months has become explosed prompting&amp;nbsp;each town in the county to plan &amp;quot;&lt;a href="http://www.silverthorne.org/calendar/index.cfm?FuseCalendar_ID=848&amp;CurntDate=05/18/2007&amp;fuseaction=ShowEvent"&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Town&amp;nbsp;clean-up days&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/a&gt;.&amp;quot;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;These are slower days where a price conscious tourists could visit our slice of heaven with out all the crowds.&amp;nbsp; Silverthorne has a neighborhood of hotels that offer the overnighter a great bed at a great deal.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Just off&amp;nbsp;the exit ramp of the highway into Silverthorne you&amp;nbsp;can see the &lt;strong&gt;&lt;a title="Silerthorne Hotel" href="http://www.daysinn.com/DaysInn/control/Booking/property_info?propertyId=06752&amp;brandInfo=DI"&gt;&lt;u&gt;Day's Inn&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;img alt="Silverthorne hotel inexpensive and nice" hspace="0" src="http://www.daysinn.com/DaysInn/Booking/branded/DI/images/06752_b1.jpg" align="baseline" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;And in the same parking lot, &lt;a href="http://www.lq.com/lq/properties/propertyProfile.do?ident=LQ891&amp;propId=891"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;u&gt;La Quinta&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt; with attached &lt;a title="Silverthorne Restaurant" href="http://www.oldchicago.com/RockBottomWeb/OC/Index.aspx?PageName=/RockBottomWeb/Controls/Location/DisplayLocationOC.ascx&amp;SectionName=Root.LocationFinder.LocationResults.LocationDetails&amp;LocationID=10041"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;u&gt;Old Chicago restaurant&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;img height="204" alt="Silverthornes Hotels" hspace="0" src="http://www.lq.com/data/lanyon/images/LQ891_891_EXT99.jpg" width="343" align="baseline" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p /&gt;&lt;p&gt;The third hotel in the area that I'd recommend is the &lt;strong&gt;&lt;a title="Luxury Inn and Suites Silverthorne" href="http://www.luxuryinnsuites.com/"&gt;&lt;u&gt;Luxury Inn and Suites&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; which is across from the Village Inn.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;img alt="Luxury Inn Silverthorne" hspace="0" src="http://www.luxuryinnsuites.com/splash2.jpg" align="baseline" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p /&gt;&lt;p&gt;All three of these hotels has great ownership and therefore a great staff.&amp;nbsp; They offer incredible views at reasonable prices.&amp;nbsp; They are located near restaurants and bars and are within walking distance of the bus route.&amp;nbsp; Remember that Summit County has a free bus system so that once you are here you can not drive anywhere and truly vacation.&amp;nbsp; Each of these hotels has a hot tub- I've personally tested them all, and althougfh they are all different each one offers something the others doesn't.&amp;nbsp; A short drive can get you to the &lt;a href="http://www.summitcolorado.com/summit-county/old-dillon-historical-buildings.php"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;u&gt;Old Dillon Inn&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt; (or the ODI as the locals call it) or &lt;a href="http://www.mintsteakhouse.com/home/index.php"&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;strong&gt;the Mint&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/a&gt;.&amp;nbsp; Both establishments serve libations and food and are historic relics that where removed from the original town of Dillon, before it was flooded to make Lake Dillon.&amp;nbsp; Stories of a town under water still circulate the county.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Cap the night off with a concert at the &lt;a href="http://www.silverthorne.org/recreation/pavilion.html"&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Silverthorne Pavillion&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/a&gt;.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</Description>
