| February 20, 2007 | | Committed to get back to an active lifestyle, victim of serious fall in Utah is on the road to recovery. | Danelle Ballangee is typically not one to hang out on the couch in her Summit Cove home. As a professional adventure racer, she is antsy to get back to her great loves – almost anything active and done outdoors. Accustomed to running, climbing, and biking throughout the Colorado mountains, the Utah desert and locations worldwide, for now she spends her time at the Silverthorne Rec Center doing therapy in the pool, on the track and with a handcycle machine. Although it is questionable if she will be able to compete at her previous elite level, she is determined to get out of her wheelchair and re-learn how to walk sooner rather than later.
