| June 20, 2005 | | 83 percent are college bound | If you like statistics, and who doesn't, you know that 83 percent of anything is a big number. While we are traditionally a second home market (got your SnowHome yet?), there are a certain number of people who come to Summit County to live full time. And many of those people have kids of school age. They want to know that our school system is good. No, better than good, better than average, that their kids will get a quality education. Well, what better indicator can you have than the number of graduates who go on to college. How many schools can boast 83 percent? That's the percentage of Summit High School grads who are off to further their education, and their chances of making a difference in this world. Of course, last year, it was 91 percent, but who's counting? So, if you want a good education for your kids, and you want to have outdoor fun while earning a living, and clean air and lots of snow just make your toes twitch, come to Summit County. Your SnowHome beckons. | |
