Silverthorne gets its own medical facility.

Groundbreaking brings out the politicos

Well, I know, if you live in a city, this is, like, a non-news item.  And, no, it's not a SnowHome.  But, Silverthorne has been the only community in Summit County that has never had it's own medical facility.  Frisco, has had the emergency room and a medical office building.  Dillon, Keystone, Breckenridge and Copper Mountain have for years had clinics to serve the locals.  But, Silverthorne residents have had to drive to another town.

But, no more.  Groundbreaking took place this week on a new urgent care, a professional building going in close to the Interstate and Highway 9.  Dr. Sue Dillon will head the facility, and says she already has a number of doctors wanting to move to the mountains from the Denver area to join her.

The Blue River Professional Building will also house two or three other tenants, including, uh, my company, SnowHome Properties.  We expect the building will be full by completion of the foundation, and occupancy should take place by the end of the year.

Nice digs.  We're looking forward to moving in.  Come join us for a cup of java.
