| October 25, 2007 | | The information center offers everything needed for a great stay in Summit County |
The information center located in Silverthorne (on Rainbow Drive) offers numerous pieces of information for tourists/vacationers. The information center opened up over three years ago after it was built by Kevin Faulkner; the first year it was owned by the Summit Chamber and since then it has been run by the outlets in the mall. Sam Brown, the owner of the mall, feels it is best to move the information center inside the mall. The reason for this is due to the fact that the information center blocks the view of the mall and moving it inside would not only make the mall more noticeable, but it would also be more convenient for the shoppers inside the mall. The information booth offers gift cards and savings cards for the outlets in the mall. They also offer discounted lift tickets, directions to places in Summit County, souvenirs, postcards, bus information, phonebooks, and events/entertainment. Not only that, they also go out of their way to look up weather conditions for you and find a hotel room for your stay in Summit County. Packets and brochures are sent through email to vacation planners so they can plan out their getaway and be familiar with all the beautiful things Summit County has to offer. If you are interested in receiving these packets and brochures or finding out information about Summit County click here. Let the information center help you experience Summit County to the fullest.
