According to the National Association of Realtors, buyers first learned about the home they purchased through the following sources: 41% through a Real Estate Broker 16% via a Yard Sign 11% Internet 11% Other 7% Friend or relative 7% Newspaper or Magazine 7% Builders However, 71% of all home buyers used the Internet during their home search ( up from 41% in 2001), but only 11% first learned about the home they purchased on the Internet. 90% of Internet searchers used a real estate broker to assist them in their transaction. 47% of buyers and 62% of sellers responded that reputation was the most important factor in choosing a broker.
