Well, I've done it. Fought it for a couple of months. But, I had a few friends who were cajoling (actually pushing, if you ask me) to run for Town Council here in Silverthorne. Well, hell, I'm a busy man, you know? Mary thought I was nuts. My friend, Jim Morgan, publisher of the Summit Daily News, said, "Ken, what were you thinking? You just looking for a way to make some enemies?" But I did it. Decided to run. Said I wouldn't campaign, though, but good old Howard Hallman has me walking neighborhoods. (Howard has spent four years on the Council and is now running for Mayor.) And guess what? I'm sort of enjoying it. Reconnecting with friends I haven't seen for awhile, making new ones, actually seeing the neighborhoods like I haven't seen it before. Oh, yeah, I've got some issues. We all do, don't we? And I'll post more on that. But, for now, I've taken the dive. Let's just hope I know how to swim. After all, it's Silverthorne, and it's politics. __________________________________________ Want to buy or sell a SnowHome in Summit County? Please visit our website.
