Best skiing in the West is in Summit County

Early snow spells 4th best year ever

Yep, it's true.  Friends came out last week, and by week's end, said they could not believe they'd skiied five days in a row on fresh powder.  Depending on who you are, you are either thrilled with the fresh snow nearly every night or ready for Spring.  The fourth heaviest snow year.  Whew!

We got our first snow this season in September.  It truly seems like it hasn't stopped since.  But, truly, we do get a few days repite in between constant snow days.  And the snow is no longer measured in inches, but in feet- at least in news reports.  We have a snow reports link from our website, and Breckenridge and Keystone are both reporting 57-85 inches of base, or about 5 to 7 feet.  And Copper Mountain is right i the middle.

Word's gotten out.  Summit County has been packed with visitors.  It almost seems as if there is no difference between weekends and week days.  It is getting more difficult to get around.  And you tend to pick the hours during which you go to the grocery store.

But, I tell you.  It's a great time to go skiing.  Come on up.  You'll love it.
